‘BAJUS working to give jewellery sector a global fit’

The country’s potentials with jewellery industry is expanding to international market as Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) President Sayem Sobhan Anvir is working relentlessly to give the sector a global fit, said a central leader of the trade body.

“Jewellers across the country have been united under an umbrella. BAJUS President has underscored the need for concerted effort to consolidate advancement of jewellery industry,” said BAJUS vice-president Dewan Aminul Islam while addressing a view exchange meeting with the local gold traders of Naogaon on Friday.

In his speech, Dr Dewan mentioned that central committee will host separate view exchange meetings with the district units soon. BAJUS executive member Reponul Hasan said Sayem Sobhan Anvir is the first to be sincere President of this association who wants the jewellers to work in harmony to harness untapped potentials of the industry.

About principle of equality, Hasan said BAJUS President has placed small jewellers on par with large traders focusing on their dignified business.

BAJUS executive member Pabitra Chandra Ghosh and Naogaon unit general secretary Shafikul Islam Raju were also present, with district unit president Abu Sayed in chair.
