Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun has given instructions to the field-level police officers to improve quality of investigation of a case.

The chief of the police force gave the instructions at a crime overview meeting for December last year with senior police officers at Police Headquarters in the capital on Monday.

Besides, Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun also gave some guidelines to the senior police officers for enhancing monitoring to ensure the services at the police stations.

Al-Mamun said the police force is working to implement the zero tolerance against drug and corruption announced by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“Following zero tolerance policy announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the police members have become success against militancy and terrorism,” he said.

He also urged the members of the force to consider problems of service seekers with sympathy and provide proper legal help.

Besides, the chief also warned that no policeman involved in drugs or corruption would be spared.  The head of the force underscored the need for participation of general people in curbing crimes.
