Ireland national cricket team’s upcoming tour of Bangladesh will start with a three-match ODI series and it will be hosted at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
“Ireland will begin the tour with the ODI series and it will be played in Sylhet and we are fully prepared for it,” Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, the representative of Sylhet Division at the Bangladesh Cricket Board and BCB’s women’s wing chairman, confirmed the development to The Daily Sun.
According to the draft itinerary, the three ODIs are scheduled respectively on March 18, 20 and 23 in Sylhet while the three T20Is will be held on March 26, 28 and 30 respectively in Chattogram.
The Test match is scheduled on April 4-8 but another source said that it can be changed and start from April 3. Ireland national team is expected to come either on March 12 or 13. Meanwhile, Bangladesh players will hardly get any rest before playing the home series against Ireland as they will come straight into the series after completing their international assignment against England, comprising three ODIs and three T20Is.
