Cold spell likely to continue

The ongoing cold snap, which has gripped different parts of the country, may continue for a few days with the temperature plummeting to 7.6 degrees Celsius in Naogaon on Tuesday.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said the mild cold wave, which is sweeping over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and the district of Chuadanga, may continue.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the river basins and northwestern part and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country during midnight to morning, it said.

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country and night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's minimum temperature 7.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Badalgachhi of Naogaon district on Tuesday.
