The first phase of Bishwa Ijtema, the second-largest congregation of Muslims on the bank of the Turag River at Tongi, will end with Akheri Munajat (final prayers) today.
As part of the security measures, police will close some routes in and around the Ijtema venue.
Traffic will be closed on both sides of the road from Kamarpara to Ashulia and the road from Tongi Station Road to Pubail.
Besides, police will control the vehicles in the Tongi Bridge area.
After a four-day break, the second phase of the Biswa Ijtema will begin on January 20. The second phase of the Ijtema will end with the final prayer in the first hour of January 22.
This time, the Ijtema venue has been divided into 91 Khitas according to district.
About 5,500 devotees from 65 countries attended the Ijtema this year.
