Country Director of World Food Programme (WFP) Domenico Scalpelli met Maj Gen (retd) ATM Abdul Wahab, chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), on Thursday.

The meeting was held at the BDRCS headquarters in the capital when Deputy Country Director of the WFP Simone Parchment and Senior Advisor Md Mohsin also accompanied Domenico Scalpelli.

BDRCS governing board Vice-chairman Md Nur-Ur-Rahman and the board member M Manzurul Islam were also present in the meeting that also discussed potential collaboration.

BDRCS secretary general Kazi Shafiqul Azam, Director of Disaster Response unit Mijanur Rahman and the Director of Fundraising Department Dr. Shahana Zafor also attended the meeting.
