A case has been lodged against three people, including the owner of a spa centre, in relation to the death of a teenage girl who allegedly leapt from the establishment in the capital’s affluent Gulshan-2 neighbourhood.

Abdus Salam, prosecution officer of Zone-3 at Dhaka North City Corporation, filed the case at Gulshan Police Station on Wednesday night.

The accused are Hasanuzzaman alias Hasan, owner of the spa, his wife Sainur Akhter Payel, manager of the centre, and ATM Mahbubul Alam, owner of the flat that houses the centre.

Mohammad Hasib, sub-inspector of the police station, said that the accused were running a ‘mini brothel’ in the name of spa centre.

Police are now hunting for the suspects and investigating if there was any involvement of any other persons in this regard.
