Bangladesh U-19 women’s cricket team finished their preparation for the upcoming ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup on a winning note after they beat their Indian counterparts by three runs in their second and last warm-up game at St Stithians College in Johannesburg on Wednesday.
Shorna Akter was the star of the match as she made an unbeaten 78 off 54 balls with two fours and seven sixes while Afia Prottasha scored 12 runs as Bangladesh posted 121-7 in their 20 overs after they opted to bat first.
Dipa Khatun finished with 1-15 in her four overs.
Bangladesh earlier beat their South African counterparts by seven runs in D/L Method in their first warm-up game on Monday.
Bangladesh are drawn in Group A of the main event and they will face Australia in the opening match of the tournament on January 14 in Benoni.
They will play their next match against Sri Lanka on January 16 before they take on USA on January 18, all at the same venue.
A total of 16 teams are taking part in the inaugural edition of the tournament.
