The Qulkhwani of retired Lt Col Fayez Bahar, artillery, was held at Mohkhali DOHS Mosque in Dhaka after Asr prayers on Saturday.
Army officers, family members, friends, relatives and well-wishers attended the Qulkhwani seeking eternal peace of the departed soul, said a press release said.
His body was flown back to Dhaka on December 25 night. Later he was buried at the Army Graveyard at Banani on December 26 after his namaz-e-janaza at Mohkhali DOHS Mosque.
It is worth mentioning that heroic freedom fighter Shaheed captain RAM Khairul Bashar, ASC, also a distinguished martyr of Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, is the first cousin of the late prominent artillery official of Bangladesh Army.
