Abdul Kader’s 2nd death anniversary today

Today is the second death anniversary of noted actor Abdul Kader.  Marking the day his family member has arranged a number of programmes, including distribution of food and dua mahfil.

Born on April 1, 1951, Abdul Kader was a popular actor of the country. He was best known for his Bodi role in the television drama serial ‘Kothao Keu Nei’. He was also popular for his appearance in the popular Bangladeshi magazine show Ityadi.

He was a founding member of the theatre troupe Dhaka Theatre. He was also a member of theatre troupe Theatre. He acted in theatre productions, namely, ‘Payer Aowaj Paowa Jaay’, ‘Ekhono Kritadas’, ‘Tomrai, Spardha’, ‘Dui Bon’, ‘Meraj Fakirer Maa’ and others.

Kader made his small screen debut with Dakghar. He acted in more than two thousand small screen productions, including ‘Kothao Keu Nei’, ‘Matir Kole’, ‘Nakshatrer Raat’, ‘Shirshabindu’, ‘Sabuj Sathi’,  ‘Nitu tomake Bhalobasi’ and others.

Kader tested positive for coronavirus on December 20, 2020, and died while undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of Evercare Hospital in Dhaka on December 26, 2020.
