Milan receives Panjeree-Ananda Alo Children’s Literature Award

Noted author and Kaler Kantho editor-in-chief Imdadul Haq Milan has received ‘Panjeree-Ananda Alo Children’s Literature Award’ 2020. He got the award in the category of story and novel for his book ‘Baban and Tuntuni Pakhi’.

‘Panjeree-Ananda Alo Children’s Literature Award ceremony for 2020, 2021 was held at Channel i building in the capital’s Tejgaon area on Monday.

For 2021, Additional IGP, head of Tourist Police and Editor of Detective newspaper Habibur Rahman got the award in the Liberation War research category. Amirul Islam won the award in children’s literature, Maraful Islam in rhyme and poetry, Ratan Siddiqui in drama and Sangeeta Imam got the award in short story categories. 

The recipients of the award for 2020 are Imdadul Haq Milan (story and novel), Gollachhut Editor Mahfuz Rahman (rhyme and poetry), Surma Zahid (Liberation War) and Imran Zahid (children’s literature).

Afzal Hossain received the award for the book ‘Smritir Batayane Chander Hat’ in design category. Book publication house Katha Prakash was given the award as the best children’s publication.

Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Dr. Muhammad Samad, writer Anwara Syed Haq, Shishu Academy Director General Anjir Liton, Panjeree Publications Managing Director Kamrul Hasan Shayok, Ananda Alo Editor Rezanur Rahman,  Ananda Alo Assistant Editor and Bachsas President Raju Alim, among others, were present  at the prize giving ceremony.
