The Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC has celebrated the "Digital Bangladesh Day-2022" in a befitting manner.
To mark the day, the Embassy arranged a programme at its Bangabandhu Auditorium in the afternoon on Monday.
Later, a short documentary on the progress of digitalisation in Bangladesh was screened.
Addressing the programme, Bangladesh Ambassador to the United States Muhammad Imran highlighted the tremendous progress of digitalisation in Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina since the government launched the epoch-making "Digital Bangladesh" campaign in 2009.
In this regard, he also mentioned the important role of Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the architect of "Digital Bangladesh" vision and the ICT Adviser to the Prime Minister.
First Secretary (Visa and Passport Wing) Muhammad Abdul Hye Milton also took part in the discussion. Minister (Political-1) and Head of Chancery Dewan Ali Ashraf conducted the programme.
