The Embassy of Japan to Bangladesh and Youth Opportunities jointly organised the prize giving ceremony of “50 years of Japan-Bangladesh Friendship Quiz Competition” in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Bangladesh.

Japanese Ambassador ITO Naoki and other guests handed prizes over to the winners at a ceremony in Dhaka on Monday.

The week-long online quiz competition was held between November 27 and December 3, 2022, and seven winners among more than seven thousand participants were selected, said the Japanese Embassy.

In his speech, Ambassador ITO congratulated the winners and emphasised the significance of this initiative.

Co-founder of Youth Opportunities Osama Bin Noor mentioned that this competition has engaged thousands of Bangladeshi youth and enhanced their knowledge of Japan-Bangladesh relations.
