Online application process begins

The online admission process to eleventh grade for the students who passed the school-leaving Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations this year has kicked off.

According to the admission policy, the enrolment process will be completed online and through SMS from Teletalk SIM.

Students will be able to submit applications for their college admission till January 18 and their results will be published in three phases.

Enrollees have to pay Tk 328 to confirm their admission at the scheduled time. The admission process will continue from January 22 to 26 and the classes will begin on February 1.

A maximum of Tk 5,000 has been fixed in MPO-affiliated institutions and Tk 8,500 in non-MPO institutions for admission to class XI.

Students passed SSC or equivalent examinations under any education board and Open University of the country in 2020, 2021 and 2022, can apply for admission in class XI.

                Students who passed out in other years from Open University can also apply manually. Students who have passed an equivalent examination from a foreign board or institution can apply for admission after determining the standard of certificate.

A total of 19,94,139 students from 29,591 educational institutions took part in the exams of SSC, Dakhil and SSC (vocational) under 11 education boards at 3,789 centres. Of them, 17,43,619 students came out successful.

Last year, some 22,40,395 students participated in SSC and equivalent examinations. Of them, 20,96,546 passed.

Of the total students who took part in the examination this year, 87.44 percent candidates passed. Last year, 93.58 percent students had passed the SSC and equivalent examinations.

This year some 2,69,602 students or 13.51 percent of the total students got GPA-5 across the country in SSC and equivalent examinations.

Compared to last year, the number of students who got GPA-5 has increased by 86,262. Last year some 1,83,340 students obtained GPA-5.

The result of SSC examination was published on November 28.
