Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan said on Tuesday that they are confident of making a comeback against Bangladesh in the ongoing three-match ODI series.
The visitors will take on Bangladesh in the second match of the series in Mirpur today in an attempt to level the series. India lost the first ODI by just one wicket after Mehidy Hasan Miraz played a heroic knock and a defeat in today’s match will also confirm India’s series defeat in the hands of Bangladesh.
“Of course, Bangladesh are playing good cricket as well but if you see the last match, it was quite interesting.
“It was a low total and at the end, they pulled the game back from us which doesn’t happen very often. They played really well so give credit to them,” he said, adding that he is well aware of the rivalry between the two teams.
“You always feel that rivalry against Bangladesh and of course that happens against any team but I feel Bangladeshi people are quite emotional and they really enjoy it and come with intensity,” he said. “We are very happy to see how Bangladesh people support their team as well as cricket,” he concluded.
