ICMAB honours Janata Bank with ‘best corporate award’
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi hands over ICMAB Best Corporate Award to Janata Bank Chairman Mahfuzur Rahman and Managing Director Abdus Salam Azad at a function at a city hotel recently.

Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) has recognised Janata Bank with ‘best corporate award’ in gold category.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi handed over the award to Janata Bank Chairman Mahfuzur Rahman and Managing Director Abdus Salam Azad at a function at a city hotel recently, said a news release on Saturday.

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Shibli Rubayet Ul Islam, FBCCI President Jashim Uddin and ICMAB President Mamunur Rashid and Janata Bank Deputy Managing Director Nurul Alam were present on the occasion.

The national body of the professional cost and management accountants provides the award to recognise excellence in transparency, accountability, good governance ensuring commitment to the society and enhancing performances of stakeholders.

Janata Bank won the award in top category of ‘gold’ among all state-owned commercial banks. Best Corporate Awards are given considering international-standard compliance in economic, effective, and efficient operation of the corporate houses/institutions.
