Zakir Hasan smashed a brilliant hundred to help Bangladesh A draw the first unofficial Test against their Indian counterparts on the final day at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Friday.
Zakir struck a scintillating 173 off 402 balls while another overnight unbeaten batsman Najmul Hossain Shanto made 77 runs as Bangladesh A made 341-9 in their second innings before the game ended in a stalemate.
Left-arm spinner Saurabh Kumar, who claimed 4-23 in the first innings, finished with 5-63 in the second innings.
India A earlier took a massive 353-run lead after they declared their first innings at 465-5. Bangladesh A could make only 112 runs in their first innings.
The second unofficial Test will take place in Sylhet on December 6-9.
