Zakir Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto scored fifties as Bangladesh A made a decent comeback in the second innings against their Indian counterparts on the third day of the first unofficial Test at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium Ground 2 in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday.
Zakir struck an unbeaten 81 off 173 balls while Najmul made 56 off 124 balls not out as Bangladesh A reached 172-1 at stumps of day three after India declared their first innings at 465-5 on the same day.
Bangladesh A are still trailing their opponents by 181 runs and they will be looking to draw the match through a solid performance from the batters on the final day of the game today.
