The number of daily dengue patients has declined slightly across the country in the last few days as the single-day dengue cases remained below 500.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said 462 dengue patients were hospitalised in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning while two deaths were reported during the period.
Earlier, 221 dengue patients and one death were reported on Friday, 519 dengue cases and one death were reported on Thursday, 477 dengue cases and three deaths were reported on Wednesday and 515 dengue cases and three deaths were reported on Tuesday.
The DGHS data said a total of 1,988 dengue patients are now undergoing treatment throughout the country. Of them, 1,171 patients are receiving treatment in Dhaka city.
It said around 17,583 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals and at least 103 died in the last 25 days in the current month of November.
The DGHS report further said a total of 55,607 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals and at least 244 dengue patients have died this year.
Of the total dengue cases, 35,528 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in the Dhaka city and the rest was admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka.
