Demand for lowering prices of printing materials

Popular News

Expressing concern over rising prices of printing materials, including paper and ink, National Association for Printing Business (NAPB) has demanded that the government take urgent measures to reduce the prices for taming the market.

NAPB President Dewan Fazlur Rahman and General Secretary Asadullah Tito made the demand in a joint statement issued on Tuesday.

In the statement, they said businessmen involved in the printing industry are facing financial losses due to the continuous rise in the prices of different printing materials, including paper, ink, board, film, chemicals and plates.

The NAPB leaders said lakhs of businessmen in the sector are struggling to  keep their business afloat due to the price hike of materials, which is also hampering national development and ruining marginalised traders.

They urged the government to reduce the prices of these printing materials immediately to stabilise the market.
