‘Hello SB App’ launched

‘Hello SB App,’ an app of Special Branch (SB) of Bangladesh Police, has formally kicked off.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun inaugurated it at the SB Headquarters at Malibagh in the capital on Wednesday. He said that the app would play a pivotal role on reaching SB services to people.

According to the SB, people can get different services through the app. The services are e-passport, MRP, passport renewal and correction, immigration service, dual citizenship, visa issue and renewal, registration, security clearance, NGO related information, travel and some others.

The service receivers can complain and suggest on the services by the SB men.

They can also inform the higher authorities of the SB about unnecessary adjourning of passport-related inquiries, misbehaviour and dishonest proposals by any SB member, and misbehaviour and harassment by immigration officers.

The app can be downloaded from any android mobile phone’s play store.

Presided over by chief of SB Monirul Islam, Criminal Investigation Department’s chief Mohammad Ali and SB’s DIG (Admin) Humayun Kabir spoke, among others, on the occasion.
