West Bengal minister Akhil Giri on Friday night issued an ‘apology’ after his ‘how-does-our-President-look’ comment made in a Nandigram rally went viral prompting BJP to demand his resignation. Faced by the attacks, Giri issued an apology saying, “I respect the Indian constitution. Whatever I said was said in anger in its response, which was a momentary lapse of judgement.” Giri said, “I too am a minister, and have taken oath under the constitution.“
