An eight-day workshop on non-formal education programme began at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) on Saturday. Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr Md Hasibur Rashid inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest. The workshop has been organised under the initiative of Non-Formal Education, Research and Extension Cell (BNREC) of the university.
In his speech, the VC said non-formal education programs should be continued to spread education at all levels to achieve sustainable development goals. If this management is made permanent, the benefits can be reaped quickly. He also called for bringing technology-based education under non-formal education programme to face the fourth industrial revolution.
