Abhijit’s 15th solo art exhibition begins in city

Abhijit Chowdhury’s 15th solo art exhibition titled ‘(Non) hierarchical Order of Forms’ began at La Galerie of Alliance Francaise de Dhaka (AFD) in the capital’s Dhanmondi area on Friday.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held in the evening.

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Md. Jashim Uddin attended the event as the chief guest while Actor and Artist Afzal Hossain was present the event as the special guest.

Abhijit Chowdhury is known as a fine and promising artist in Bangladesh. He likes to travel through strange imagery, and a colorful abstract world where an eye-soothing mysterious and dreamy environment exists. Abhijit’s greatest source of inspiration is nature. He takes all kinds of elements from nature with great care and understanding through his artistic perception, and then he arranges those pleasingly in his painting.

His creations are of abstract expressionism where perceptions and feelings like joy, despair, sorrow, hope, dream, imagination, love, hate Etc. Exist. He wants to prove through his creations that art is nothing but (humanized science) as well as means of addressing humanity.

It is true that the chair, unlike a cliché symbol, does not tell us a story of political allegory that only means the monolithic power relation. Abhijit’s rhythmic style of representation, that sets the forms of the chair within the spatial relationship of his canvas, hints at the possibility of non-linear fragmented narratives. Sometimes the chairs give us some sense of losses on the one hand and the urgency of repairs on the other.

The exhibition will continue from 3:00pm to 9:00pm.till November12.
