IAPTC annual confce ends

The 26th annual conference of the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centres (IAPTC) ended at the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT) at Rajendrapur Cantonment in Gazipur on Thursday.

Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest in the closing ceremony.

Under the management of the Bangladesh Army, the five-day conference began on October 30. The theme of this year’s conference is “Peace Operations in the Digital Era – Opportunities and Challenges for the Global Training Community”.

Members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence, Ambassadors assigned to Bangladesh, representatives of various organisations, Members of Parliament, Inspector General of Bangladesh Police, UN Military Adviser, UN Acting Police Adviser, Defence Military Attachés assigned to Bangladesh, high-ranking military and civilian officials, heads and representatives of other UN agencies, faculties of various universities, around 135 foreign delegates and journalists from more than 50 member countries of IAPTC and local dignitaries attended on the occasion.
