Land Acquisition in Rangpur

162 affected people get compensation

RANGPUR: The government through local district administration has paid Taka 67.80 crore as compensation to 162 persons for acquiring their lands for implementing different development projects in the district, reports BSS. 

Deputy Commissioner Md. Asif Ahasan distributed 162 cheques of compensation money to the 162 affected landowners in a function held at his conference room in the city on Thursday afternoon.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) AWM Raihan Shah, District Land Acquisition Officer, Upazila Nirbahi Officers and other officials were present in the functions.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said the government has been implementing different projects for attaining sustainable development in every sector across the country to ensure welfare of common people. He called upon officials of different departments and organizations and common people to extend their sincere cooperation to the authorities concerned for implementation of the development projects in the district.
