The much-talked-about film ‘Damal’ will hit theatre across the country today. The Raihan Rafi-directed film will be released in 22 cinemas including, Star Cineplexes, Blockbuster Cinemas, Lion Cinemas, Modhumita and Shyamoli Cinema Hall in Dhaka, Monihar Cinema Hall at Jashore, Grand Sylhet Cineplex in Sylhet and Silver Screen in Chattogram.
Set on the Bangladesh liberation war, the film features Siam Ahmed, Bidya Sinha Saha Mim and Sariful Razz in lead roles.
The film presents a fictional storyline inspired from the Swadhin Bangla football team, the team toured throughout India playing a total of 16 friendly matches to raise international awareness and economic support for the Bangladesh Liberation War.
The film has been conceptualised by Impress Telefilm and Channel i Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar. Raihan Rafi and Nazim Ud Daula have jointly scripted the production.
Produced by Impress Telefilm and powered by Bashundhara Kings, the film is presented by T Sports.
Besides Siam Ahmed, Bidya Sinha Saha Mim and Sariful Razz, the other cast of the movie includes Shahnaz Sumi, Sumit Sengupta, Intekhab Dinar, Rashed Mamun Apu, Nasir Uddin Khan and Samia Othoi.
It may be mentioned that, ‘Damal’ is the fourth film of Raihan Rafi. His other three films are—‘Poramon-2’, ‘Dohon’ and ‘Poran’.
