NDC team visits police HQ

The delegation of the NDC Course-2022 under National Defence College (NDC) visited the police headquarters in the capital on Wednesday.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun paid a courtesy call on the head of the delegation Maj Gen AKM Aminul Haque.

During the visit, a discussion meeting was also held at the Hall of Pride in the police headquarters. Additional IG (HRM) Barrister Md Harun-Ar- Rashid presided over the meeting.

In the briefing, Additional DIG (D&PS) Belal Uddin presented Bangladesh Police’s contributions in the Liberation War, steps taken to maintain law and order, exemplary role in UN peacekeeping mission and future plans of police before the delegation.

Four documentaries on the history of Bangladesh Police were screened.

Later, in the question-and-answer session, the delegation asked about crime prevention, community policing, police service delivery, cybercrime, traffic management, artificial intelligence, etc.

The delegation consisted of 75 trainees from the Armed Forces, Civil Administration, Bangladesh Police and 17 from Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Zambia.
