Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal will head to Qatar to watch a FIFA World Cup match of his favourite team Brazil as he got two tickets from Bangladesh Football Federation for the first-round match between Brazil and Serbia, slated on November 25 at Lusail Stadium at 1:00am (BST).
Thanking K Sports CEO Fahad Karim, Tamim posted a picture of tickets on his official Facebook page on Friday, though it was not confirmed whether he bought tickets himself or got the gifts.
BFF had been allocated 290 World Cup tickets by the governing body of world football FIFA.
BFF general secretary Abu Naeem Sohag confirmed the development to The Daily Sun that Tamim and Shakib have got World Cup tickets.
The federation distributed most of these tickets among political personalities, national stars, clubs and sponsors, which resulted in the common football fans not getting tickets despite applying in the proper manner.
