‘Bangladesh’s development inspires global community’

The Chancellor of UK’s Birmingham University and President of the Confederation of British Industry Lord Karan Bilimoria said that the global community is being inspired and motivated by the overall development of Bangladesh.

He made this remark while delivering a special lecture on Business, Finance and Economy at Dhaka University (DU) on Thursday.

The lecture was held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban auditorium of DU with the university Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.

"Bangladesh has achieved tremendous success at all fields especially education, business and economy under the dynamic and pragmatic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Global community is being inspired and motivated by the overall development of Bangladesh," he said.

He said that Russia-Ukraine war is affecting the world including Bangladesh.

"Food crisis and energy crisis are prevailing everywhere due to this war. Loss of life and property is being reported everyday from the war field. This war must be stopped." 

 DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman thanked Lord Karan Bilimoria for his motivational and inspirational lecture.

The function was also addressed by DU Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Muhammad Samad, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal and Treasurer Prof Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed.
