A female beautician was allegedly gang-raped after she was hired to provide at-home parlour services at a house in the capital’s Dhanmondi area on Tuesday night.
The woman runs an online beauty parlour service and lives in the city’s Hazaribagh area with her husband, an online shoe seller, family members of the victim said.
A youth met the victim in the area around 8:00pm and took her to a flat on the first floor of a building, where three youths raped her in front of another girl, the one believed to have called the victim.
The rapists then asked her to leave the house and threatened to kill her. The victim left the house and went to Savar, where her husband went to visit a friend, and fell ill there.
The woman was later admitted to a hospital.
However, no case was filed in this connection till filling of this report.
Sub-inspector of Dhanmondi Police Station Monsur Ahmed said they came to know about a gang-rape and talked to the victim and her relatives.
