At least 63 people were killed in 322 road accidents across the country in the first seven days of this month.

Save the Road, a social volunteer organisation, revealed the information according to their study report on Friday.

According to the reports, the researchers claimed 244 people were injured in the incidents.

In a statement, the platform leaders called for fixing the speed of all vehicles, including buses and trucks, to prevent accidents.

At the same time, they also demanded the implementation of bike lanes on all roads, highways, and bridges in the country on an urgent basis to prevent accidents.

Shanta Farzana, secretary general of the organisation, said that reckless driving caused 23 accidents across the country on October 7 from morning to afternoon.

The rights activists demanded that BRTA's mobile courts play a role in making Bangladesh free from road accidents.
