Hosts Bangladesh will take on Singapore in their opening Group E match of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mustofa Kamal Stadium in the capital today.

The match is scheduled to start at 07:00pm (BST).

Yemen will take on Bhutan in the day’s opening game at the same venue. The match will kick off at 04:00pm (BST).

The top team of each of the 10 groups and the best six runners-up will qualify for the main event, scheduled in Bahrain next year.

Ahead of the qualifier tournament, Bangladesh head coach Paul Smalley, skipper Imran Khan, Singapore head coach Angel Toledano, skipper Kegan Phang and coaching staff and skippers from Bhutan and Yemen attended a press conference at the BFF House in the capital on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Football Federation also announced a 23-member squad for the qualifier on the same day.
