TVET policy makers to attend training in S Korea

A dozen of senior government officials from the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment (MoEWOE), Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET) and Technical Training Centers (TTC) will attend a seven-day training in South Korea.   

The training entitled “Leadership Programme for Policy Makers and Managers of BEST (Better Employment with Skills Training) Project” will be held in two batches. The first batch training will be conducted from October 2 to 8 while the 2nd batch training is scheduled to be held from October 9 to 15.   

In this regard, a pre-departure orientation session was held at KOICA Bangladesh office on Thursday. Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) County Director Young-Ah Doh spoke at the event. 

The agency is supporting this training programme under its BEST Project.     

The BEST project is being implemented in collaboration with MoEWOE and BMET with a budget of $8.5million for the period of 2018 to 2023.

One of the project’s main objectives is to improve the quality of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Bangladesh.
