Wishing Sheikh Hasina a long life

Wishing Sheikh Hasina a long life

The 76th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was celebrated across the country yesterday. She never celebrated her birthday at her residence. She never cut any cake on the occasion of her birthday. If an event is arranged anywhere, she does not want to go there. People who love her celebrate her birthday without informing her. Sheikh Hasina is the name of a tale of struggle. In her childhood, Bangabandhu remained mostly in jail. That is why she did not get her father all the time. At the time of her marriage also Bangabandhu remained in jail. These are less-explored aspects of her life which is full of many ups and downs.

On August 15, 1975, the people of Bangladesh had lost their supreme leader following the assassination of Bangabandhu. But the gap was bridged after Bangabandhu's worthy daughter Sheikh Hasina took the steering of the country’s leadership as a prime minister after 21 long years in 1996. She vowed to build Bangladesh a ‘Sonar Bangla’ as Bangabandhu wanted to ensure a better and decent life for the country’s people. This is her third consecutive term that she runs the country successfully. Since her ascension to power, she is on a noble mission to drive the nation towards prosperity following the footsteps of her father. Under her able leadership, Bangladesh has become a role model for development. It is scheduled to officially become a developing country in 2026.

However, innumerable attempts on her life were made only to stop her journey, but by the grace of Almighty Allah, she survived all the attempts on her life. On the occasion of her 76th birthday, we sincerely wish her a long healthy life so that she can lead the country for many more years and realise her father’s dream. It was because of her visionary leadership continuously over a prolonged period that Bangladesh achieved tremendous progress in the socio-economic front. The country is in dire need of her stewardship for gaining even more successes. We wish many happy returns of her birthday!
