Seminar on ‘Geo-economics’ held at BUP

A seminar titled ‘Geo-economics in the aftermath of Covid-19 and Recent Geopolitical Tensions: Trade Implications for Bangladesh’ was held at Bijoy Auditorium of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) on Tuesday.

Department of Economics under Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) of BUP organised the event.

The purpose of the seminar is to ignite our young minds and have a discussion on the challenges and opportunities of the economy of Bangladesh in post-covid Ukrain war and recent geopolitical scenario.

In the programme, Professor Dr Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain, BUP pro-vice-chancellor, was present as the chief guest while Dr MA Razzaque, research director of Policy Research Institute (PRI), presented the keynote paper.

Lt Col Md Shamsul Kabir, chairman of the Department of Economics of FASS, moderated the seminar. 

Among others, BUP high officials, faculty members and students also attended on the occasion.
