Owners of seven bldgs fined in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM: Separate mobile courts of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) fined seven building owners after finding stranded water suitable for breeding of Aedes mosquito in the city on Monday.

 CCC Executive Magistrate Marufa Begum Neli and Special Magistrate Manisha Mahajon carried out the drives in the city’s Mehedi Bag, Chatteshwari Road, Jalalabad Housing and Pahartali Railway Housing areas.

They fined seven building owners Tk 22,000 and removed the stranded water during the drive, said sources.

The courts also gave directive for faster removal of stranded water in the future.

 Officials of concerned departments of the CCC and members of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) assisted the mobile courts during the drive.
