Bangladesh Legends missed out on a great opportunity to beat Australia Legends as they lost the thrilling game by three wickets during their third match of the ongoing Road Safety World Series in Indore, India on Sunday.

Bangladesh Legends, who posted a decent total of 158-9 after being sent into bat first, needed 21 runs to defend in the final over to win the contest against their Australian counterparts. Australia were already seven down at that time.

Brad Haddin, who was the only recognised batsman at the crease, then smashed pacer Abul Hasan for three fours and a six and scored the required runs as Australia reached 159-7 and confirmed the last-ball victory.

Haddin remained not out on 58 off 37 balls while Shane Watson made 35 runs.

For Bangladesh, left-arm spinner Elias Sunny bowled a sensational spell as he finished with 4-8 in his four overs while Abdur Razzak took two wickets.

Earlier, Sunny also made a handy contribution with the bat as he scored an unbeaten 32 off 29 balls while Bangladesh also received 39 extra runs from Australia to post a challenging total.

Bangladesh will face India Legends in their next match on September 25 in Dehradun.
