Sarun Charoensuwan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Thai Foreign Ministry, spoke highly about the socioeconomic development of Bangladesh at a seminar in Thailand on Friday.
Speakers at the seminar said there are ample opportunities to increase economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Thailand.
Sarun Charoensuwan and Ms. Maleka Parveen, Chargé d'Affaires of the Bangladesh Embassy in Bangkok, gave welcome and special remarks respectively at the seminar held at the Foreign Office of Thailand.
Sarun Charoensuwan said that under the sustainable economic development model of Bangladesh and the Bio-Circular-Green Economy model of Thailand, there are ample opportunities to increase economic cooperation between the two countries.
At the beginning of her speech, Maleka Parveen paid her deepest tribute to the memory of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and said that Thailand is one of the Southeast Asian countries that recognised Bangladesh immediately after her independence.
