Police Service Week begins in Rangpur

RANGPUR: Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) on Sunday launched the Police Service Week-2022 marking its fourth founding anniversary to be celebrated in the city on September 16 next.

Commissioner of Police of RpMP Nure Alam Mina inaugurated the service week by placing wreaths at the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Bangabandhu Square at DC Mour and releasing balloons in a colorful ceremony there.

He also addressed the function organised by RpMP on the Bangabandhu Square premises.

All Deputy Commissioners of Police of RpMP, its Additional Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners, officers-in-charge of its all six police stations, Police Inspectors and other police officials, Members of Rangpur Metropolitan Community Policing Committee and journalists were present.

Later, a huge colorful rally, led by the RpMP Chief, was brought out from the Bangabandhu Square premises and ended at the Office of the Commissioner of Police of RpMP in the metropolis after parading the main city streets.
