A Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Wednesday that they’re expecting all their injured four cricketers - Nurul Hasan Sohan, Liton Das, Yasir Ali and Hasan Mahmud - to be fit before the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, scheduled in Australia next month.

Liton sustained a hamstring injury in Zimbabwe while Nurul had to return home early from the same trip after suffering an injury in his finger and also had to go under the scissors.

Pacer Hasan was ruled out of the Asia Cup after sustaining an injury on his right ankle before the tournament while Yasir Ali returned from West Indies after injuring his back during a three-day practice game.

Bangladesh missed the service of all four cricketers during the T20 Asia Cup in UAE and also had to suffer an early elimination from the group stage.

“His (Sohan’s) pin is removed but he is yet to pick the bat. I don’t think he will have any problem,” BCB’s chief physician Debashish Chowdhury told The Daily Sun.

“Yasir recovered well and didn’t complain about anything to us. He is expected to give the test today,” he said, adding that Liton and Hasan will take some more time to recover from their respective injuries. “Liton and Hasan are recovering gradually and they will take another week or so. But we don’t want to take any risk,” he added.
