Body recovered in port city

CHATTOGRAM: Police recovered body of an unidentified person from Patenga area in the city on Sunday.

Officer in-Charge (OC) Abu Jahed Md Nazmun Nur of Patenga Police Station said locals noticed a body near Khejurtal area of Patenga beach around 11:00am and informed the police.

Later, police recovered the body from the spot and sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue, he said.

The body bore marks of injury and the victim might have been stabbed to death, suspected the OC.

The identity of the person ageing around 40 years couldn’t be ascertained immediately, he added.
