Pakistan will take on Hong Kong in a virtual Group A knockout match of the ongoing T20 Asia Cup at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah today.

Both the teams earlier lost their respective opening game against India, which have already made it through the Super Four stage of the prestigious regional competition.

Pakistan lost to India by five wickets while Hong Kong suffered a 40-run defeat to India on Wednesday.

Both the teams are yet to face each other in a T20I. However, Pakistan came victorious in all three ODI meetings against Hong Kong.

The sides first met in an ODI during the 2004 edition of the Asia Cup which Pakistan won by 173 runs. Pakistan also won the next two matches against Hong Kong by big margins – 155 runs and eight wickets in the 2008 and 2018 editions of the Asia Cup respectively.
