JP’s new convening committee formed

With formation of new convening committee of Jatiya Party, Raushan Ershad has called the party’s national council on November 26 to form a full-fledged committee.

Raushan Ershad, also leader of the opposition in Parliament, was made  as convener of the committee while the party’s six co-chairmen -Annisul Islam Mahmud, Ruhul Amin Howlader, Kazi Feroj Rashid, Abu Hossain Babla, Mujibul Haque Chunnu and Salma Islam as its joint conveners.

A statement signed by Raushan’s political secretary Golam Mosih on Wednesday said, as per the authority given by the party charter, Jatiya Party’s chief patron Raushan Ershad has also announced that the party’s 10th council session will be held at Institution of Engineers in the capitals’ Ramna area at 10:00am on November 26.

The party’s presidium member Golam Mosih was also made as member secretary of the council preparatory committee.

Raushan Ershad is now staying in Thailand for treatment and expected to return home in September.

Jatiya Party insiders said the party is likely to split again as Raushan Ershad may be made chairman and Golam Mosih as secretary general of the new committee to be formed through the council in November.
