BSA holds art camp, painting competition at Tungipara

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) organised art camp and painting competition at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Tuesday on the occasion of the National Mourning Day.   

BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky inaugurated the art camp at 02:00pm after paying homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his grave at Tungipara. BSA Fine Arts department director Syeda Mahbuba Karim, among others, was present at the inaugural ceremony.

Thirteen noted artists of the country--Abdul Mannan, Samiran Chowdhury, Kiriti Ranjan Biswas, Dulal Chandra Gayen, Shahjahan Ahmed Bikash, Md. Aloptogin, Md. Jakir Hossain Pulock, Abdus Sattar Tawfiq, Syed Saif Ali, Jayanta Sarkar, Md. Ajmal Hossain, Surovi Akhter and Noor Munjerin Mimi participated in the art camp. 

Later, a painting competition was held on the premises of Bangabandhu’s grave. Gopalganj District Shilpakala Academy organised the competition. About 600 children from different educational institutions of the district participated in the contest in four categories. 

Among the participants, 12 were given crests and certificates.
