Awami League organising secretaries will portray a real picture of the ruling party’s activities at the grassroots level during their meeting with AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today.
The meeting will be held at 10:30am at Ganabhaban with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, AL office secretary Biplab Barua told the Daily Sun.
According to party sources, the triennial national council will be held in December.
On the occasion of the next council session, the party is making hectic efforts to complete all the grassroots councils, including, wards, upazilas, pourasavas and districts, as many grassroots unit committees are outdated and many have no committees.
To know the real picture of the grassroots, the AL chief has decided to hold the meeting with the organising secretaries as they have been tasked with overseeing party's organisational activities across the country.
All the eight divisional organising secretaries have been asked to remain present at the meeting on time.
Earlier, at a meeting of AL central executive committee, party President Sheikh Hasina directed leaders to make a well-organised party ahead of the next general election and the national conference.
