Sprinter Imran finishes sixth in Islamic Solidarity

Expat Bangladeshi sprinter Imranur Rahman finished sixth out of eight sprinters in the men’s 100m final of the ongoing fifth Islamic Solidarity Games at Konya Athletics Field in Turkiye on Wednesday. Imran created a chance to clinch a medal for Bangladesh at the beginning of the race but fell behind just 20m away from the finishing line.

The Bangladeshi expat sprinter took 10.02 seconds to complete his race. Ivorian Gue Arthur Cisse won the gold medal by completing the race in 9.89 seconds while Saudi Arabian Abdullah Abkar Mohammed won the silver with a timing of 9.95 seconds. Turkish Emre Zafer Barnes and Omani Barakat Al Harthi shared the third position after both completed the race in 9.99 seconds.
