8 food producers get ISO certificate in FY22

A total of eight food manufacturing companies have been awarded ISO certificate (International Organisation for Standardisation) in the last financial year for ensuring food safety through quality control at all levels. 

The organisations are: Safe Trading Corporation, Prativa Trading, Ovijat Food & Beverage Industries, Masud Agro Processing Food Products, Bani’s Creation, Ayurvedic Pharmacy (Dhaka), Chips Food BD and Allwells Marketing. 

The Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Foundation helped the organisations obtain the certificates, said a press release. 

The certificates were handed over to the institutions at a programme in Dhaka on Monday. 

SME Foundation Chairman Prof Dr Md Masudur Rahman attended as the chief guest at the function with Foundation's Managing Director Dr Md Mofizur Rahman in the chair.

Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce Md Hafizur Rahman and Member of Bangladesh Safe Food Authorities Md Rezaul Karim were also present at the event as the special guests. 

In his speech, Dr Mofizur Rahman said in the current financial year his organisation will help eight more small and medium companies to get the certificate.
