Rain-marred opening four-day match between Bangladesh A and their West Indies counterparts ended in a draw at Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in St Lucia on Sunday.
Hosts West Indies A, who were expected to resume their first innings of 263-5 on the final day, couldn’t start again as rain washed out the last day’s play and even a ball wasn’t possible to be bowled.
Earlier, sent into bat first, Bangladesh A could only manage to score 167 runs in their first innings with skipper Mohammad Mithun top scoring with 50 runs.
Marquino Mindley claimed 5-59 while Justin Greaves took three wickets for the host team.
The second and last four-day match between the two sides will start at the same venue on Wednesday.
The two teams will then compete in a three-match 50-over series, scheduled to start on August 16.
