Another Hajj pilgrim dies

Another Bangladeshi pilgrim has died in Saudi Arabia during this year’s Hajj, raising the death toll to 24.

Md Nazim Uddin, 62, passed away in Jeddah on Wednesday, according to the Religious Affairs Ministry.

His passport number is EE0749538. He was a resident of Naogaon district.

Of the total Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims who died while performing hajj this year, 17 were men and 7 were women.

Nineteen of them died in Makkah, 3 in Madina, and two passed away in Jeddah.

Return flights from Saudi Arabia began operating on July 14.
